Fall Is in the Air, and I’m Ready to Decorate!

Happy Thursday, ladies, or as I like to refer to it as “Friday Eve!” Thank you so much for stopping by.

Before I get into today’s post, I want to take a few minutes to thank my incredible family for supporting me on this next chapter of life. I also have to give a big shout-out to my youngest daughter for designing my coffee cup logo!!

Okay, I don’t know about you, but I am ready for a hot beverage! My dark roast coffee is brewing and smells delicious. What are you drinking this morning, my friend?

Is it just me, or is September flying by? It’s hard to believe that next week we turn the calendar to October!

This week I started noticing a change in the temperatures. Especially in the evenings after the sun goes down, there’s definitely a chill in the air.

Yesterday was the first day of fall, and I’m ready to decorate! We started bringing a few things up from the basement, but there’s more to do.

I’m not really what you would call an all-out “Halloween” decorator. I mean, I don’t particularly like the scary stuff, so I guess I’m more of a “Harvest” decorator with pumpkins, leaves, cozy lights, and that kind of vibe. I love all of the pretty, rich colors of the season! It certainly is a beautiful time of year!

Have you started decorating for fall?

I heard some fun and interesting facts the other day about the month of October 2026. Did you know there are five Saturdays this month? Halloween falls on a Saturday, and that won’t happen again until 2037!

And one more fun fact: Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 1, so we’ll be turning our clocks back and getting an extra hour of sleep!

Since decorating for the seasons brings me so much joy, I have decided that I’m going to do a fall decorating mini-series. Every Thursday until the end of October, I’ll be sharing affordable, creative decorating ideas.

So I hope you’ll find a little bit of happiness during this mini-series. I’m excited to share some of my fall decorating ideas with you!

Thanks again for being here!
