Joyful Friday ~ A Weekend Visit That Filled My Heart
Happy Friday, ladies! Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you’ve had a great week! Do you have any big plans for the weekend? Hopefully, they involve a little bit of relaxing!!
Yes, it’s the end of the week here on A Cup for the Next Chapter, and that means we take a few minutes to look back over the last seven days and find our moments of joy!
What have your pockets of joy been this week? Now remember, it can be as simple as a smile from the friendly worker you often see at the the grocery store! Just those little moments in life when you feel joyful!

This one was rather easy for me this week because my daughter came home yesterday for the long holiday weekend. I could barely sleep Wednesday night in anticipation of her arrival! My heart was full of excitement!!
We started off by celebrating my husband’s birthday last night! He got to choose the restaurant, and there were no surprises as to his decision! This place has the best chicken chimichangas, not to mention their margaritas are so good!
I think my daughter and I are going thrifting today! I’m sure we’ll have some laughs along the way! These are the moments I look back on throughout the years. I love these times when we can catch up on life and I can hear about all the interesting things happening in her world!
There’s a special feeling I get whenever my kids are around. I know it might sound kind of silly, but my heart just feels warm!
Having my kids around brings me so much joy. It doesn’t matter what we’re doing. Just having them here is enough.
Then the goodbyes come once again, but I know this is exactly how it’s supposed to be. They have their own lives to live, and I’m happy for them. And then, of course, I start looking forward to the next time I get to see them!
No one ever said being a mom was going to be easy, but I wouldn’t trade being their mom for anything in the world. I am so blessed to have amazing children!!
I hope you have a fantastic weekend! And if your young adult children are coming home to visit, I hope you can take a few moments to enjoy their company and make some new memories together!
Thanks so much for being here. I’ll talk to you on Monday!
