Fall Decorating Mini-Series ~ Week 4: A Fall Coffee Bar
Hi ladies! Well, we made a quick trip yesterday to visit my in-laws and got home late last night. So things are moving along a little slower this morning!
I hope you have your favorite hot beverage in hand…I’ve got my mug of dark roast and I’m not going to have to think twice about a refill today! That’s for sure.
It’s week 4 of my fall decorating mini-series here on A Cup for the Next Chapter. And, I am super excited about today’s theme.
Y’all know by now how much I love my morning cup of coffee, right? Well, I’m going to share how I turned my kitchen countertop into a cozy fall coffee bar. It’s one of my favorite things to decorate in my house for every season.
So grab your coffee and let’s head into the kitchen! ☕
Now ladies, I don’t have any of the extravagant, expensive beverage or coffee machines. In fact, my Mr. Coffee maker is probably as basic as they come. And that, my friends, is exactly what I want.
I bet if you look around on your kitchen countertops, you’ll disccover a lonely corner that is screaming for your attention! 🤣
You’re probably thinking, what the heck is that girl talking about!
But, that is how I found the perfect location for my coffee bar! No, the countertop wasn’t actually screaming! 😂
I looked for the saddest looking bare corner and thought to myself, “There she is!”

Okay, now that we found a home for our coffee bar, let’s build it!
I have found that between my basement/storage room, the kitchen pantry, and the local dollar store, you can come up with just about everything you need for your project.
Obviously you’ll need some type of beverage machine. So whether it’s a Keurig, Nespresso, a Mr. Coffee machine, or a combination of these, you’ll want to set them aside for the time being.
I like to have small glass mason jars for the coffee bar toppings. I found mine at the Big Lots store a few years ago, but I believe I’ve spotted them at Walmart in the past.
And in my basement, I found a cute wrought iron holder to put my mason jars in. That is old and I haven’t a clue what store it came from.
I also use a small pedestal dish for the seasonal treats that I like to display.
But can we stop for a moment and talk about the coffee mug holder? Here’s where the creativity comes in to play. Because, that cup holder is actually a jewelry tower!! My daughter wasn’t using it, so I decided to take it. At the time, I had no idea what I was going to do with it because I already had a jewelry box, but I loved the look of it! Little did I know back then that it would have a spot in my coffee bar! 🤣
Keep in mind ladies, this is YOUR activity, so the sky is the limit! There are no set instructions on what you should or shouldn’t use!
I would highly suggest checking out the dollar store because I honestly have found so many gems there. And the best part of all, it doesn’t cost a lot of money!!
Onto the lights! If you’ve been reading my posts on A Cup for the Next Chapter, you’ve probably come to the conclusion that I’m all about making the home cozy. The family room, the bedroom, even the bathroom! 🤣
So, of course, you better believe that I’m going to add lights to my coffee bar. Besides the fairy string lights, I also included a warm vanilla scented candle, and a candle warmer. Too many lights? Not for me!
I’m usually a warm white string lights type of gal, but with every season comes new ideas! So will you see red and green lights in December, pink in February, and orange in October? Possibly! You never know with Chelle Noelle! 😜
The fairy lights are the very first thing that goes in the coffee bar. I use scotch tape to hang them up under my cupboards. I like to have them drape down so the lights can be seen. But not too low. You can hang them in any pattern you wish.
The craft stores have some really cute battery-operated options. I’ve seen pink flamingos, palm trees, ghosts, and snowflakes. They’ve got lights for just about every season!
After the lights are up, find a place for your coffee machine. Then, it’s just a matter of placing your accessories in the coffee bar corner. This is where I tend to spend the most time. Why, you ask? Well, I wish I knew! I think because I need to feel that cozy vibe after I arrange the items and if I don’t…well, it’s back to the drawing board as they say! 🤣
And there you have it! A warm, cozy fall coffee bar. Just in time for those chilly mornings. Mine is actually more of a hot beverage bar because I just HAVE to include hot chocolate and all of those yummy toppings! You can also add tea bags, etc.

I love lighting up my coffee bar at nighttime, especially when it starts to get dark earlier. I also like the warm feeling of those lights in the early morning! There’s just something about it that brings me joy!
I hope you’ve had fun creating your fall coffee bar with me. I’m curious how you decorated yours. Please feel free to post a picture in the comments below.
As always, thanks for being here. I’ll talk to you tomorrow!
